From Website: AvaCon, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the growth, enhancement, and development of the metaverse, virtual worlds, augmented reality, and 3D immersive and virtual spaces.
The Metaverse Cultural Series is a set of events featuring performances and lectures that highlight unique aspects of metaverse culture, taking place in multiple virtual world spaces. The series showcases innovative artists, thinkers, performers, and academics whose work is on the forefront of exploring what it means to work, play, and live in the emerging metaverse.
AvaCon needed a campaign for the Metaverse Cultural Series, Call for Proposals. The campaign was short-fused, and needed to fill all available slots immediately.
As the serving Marketing and Communications Manager, Michelle developed a digital PR campaign. The digital invitation shown here, was disseminated via Twitter, Flicker, Second Life Groups, Forums and more.
The Digital PR Campaign resulted in over 20 diverse applicants. Needless to say, all the slots for 2014 were filled.
